LinuxWorld comes to South Africa

November 2004 (es)
LinuxWorld, the world's showcase for Linux and open source professionals is coming to South Africa. Already a regular and well attended show in 10 countries; LinuxWorld is a window on the future of IT.

In 2005, Exhibitions for Africa will host LinuxWorld SA alongside Futurex in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The joining of the two shows is apt in an IT market that is increasingly marked by the steady growth of Linux and open source applications into corporations.

In addition to the expo, a two-day LinuxWorld Conference, a top level open source business conference will also take place. Attendees will hear directly from experts in technology, Linux and open source on how to make this growing phenomenon work in the real business world.

Local Linux players hope the event will highlight that there is more than enough Linux and open source support and expertise available locally. Futurex and LinuxWorld will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre from 17 to 21 May and at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 14 to 17 September.
