Handheld convergence delivers fantastic solutions: i-mate PDA2K

Leaf Wireless has announced the local launch and availability of the i-mate PDA2K, the latest in converged PDA technology from i-mate. This fully converged device features connectivity of all kinds: quad-band GSM/GPRS, WiFi (up to 11 Mb/s), Bluetooth, IR, and USB, taking the concept of true data mobility and universal connectivity a step ahead. i-mate owners will enjoy sophistication and functionality combined with simplicity of use second to none.

A slim, lightweight package (72W x 125H x 19T) with no external antennas, powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC Second Edition, delivers comprehensive PDA functionality married to voice and data connectivity with audio and video features: polyphonic ring tones, hands free/speakerphone operation, built-in VGA camera, audio and video playback and a wired stereo headset. All major audio standards are supported, including WMA and MP3 stereo.

The screen is a bright, 64k colour transflective 240 x 320 display. An LED back-light provides for use in low light conditions. The unit comes with 64MB Flash ROM and 128MB RAM to support the many productivity and entertainment applications bundled with it.



The i-mate is backed by excellent support services via club i-mate, available to all i-mate users. Battery life is 3-4 hrs talk time, 15 hrs PDA use, 168 hrs standby.
